A number of people have received an email, which purports to be from IT Services, requesting confirmation of their account details (username, password etc). 

IT Services updates the University's SPAM filters on a regular basis, to prevent unwanted and inappropriate emails being delivered to your account. However, on occasions genuine emails may get 'flagged' as SPAM. As such we recommend that you check your Junk Email folder on a regular basis.

Now that the 500MB quota has been applied, you will find it a lot easier managing your mailbox with the full client rather than Outlook Web Access. Information on installing the full client. 

On Monday 10 March, the 500MB quota will be applied to all personal mailboxes within the Exchange/Outlook email system (staff and research students). If your mailbox is above quota you will not be able to send email.

A reminder that once the second archive run has completed successfully, the 500MB mailbox quota will be applied.

During this time all network services will be unavailable. This includes Internet Access, the University's web pages, both student and staff Email (including web access),  ResNet access and access to ‘H’ and shared drives and the use of applications on the Warwick Tree (NAL).

There is still a small number of GroupWise accounts which have not been migrated. To ensure your data is moved to the Exchange system, please contact us no later than 16:00 on Friday 16 November.

As a result of feedback received around the 500Mbyte quota on Exchange/Outlook email, IT Services presented a number of options to IPSC on the 13th of November to enable the smooth implementation of this policy.

A reminder that the 500MB quota will be applied to Exchange accounts the week commencing 12 November.

Over 5,000 email accounts and almost 500 resource accounts have now been created in Exchange which means that everyone with a GroupWise account has now been moved across.

All GroupWise users now have an Exchange account, unless they are in the following departments which have their own mail systems: Warwick Business School, Students’ Union, HRI and Warwick Manufacturing Group. 

The next important step is to remove the Send and Receive functionality from GroupWise - and this will take place on Wednesday 11 April.
