On Friday (16 September), we learned that Professor Tom Marsh - the founding professor of the Astronomy and Astrophysics group here at Warwick - was reported as missing from La Silla Observatory in Chile where he had been working as a visiting astronomer at the ESO (European Southern Observatory).

Well done to the team of 12 student rowers from Warwick who took part in the historic Venetian Regatta this month. We finished second only to the local Venetian university in the first International Universities Boat Race on the Venice Grand Canal, since Covid19.
