Warwick in India consultation

The University of Warwick has a long history of exciting engagement with India, for example

  • Global citizenship projects such as Warwick Laksh Foundation Project sending student volunteers to work with teachers at the rural school
  • Strategic partnerships such as University-wide Memorandum of Understanding with Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)
  • Teaching initiatives such as WBS MBA student exchange programmes with Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A)
  • Collaboration with business and industry such as WMG’s customised programmes of bespoke educational solutions, e.g. with Bharat Forge in Pune
  • Events in India such as The Warwick Commission launch event
  • Ongoing research in strategic programmes e.g.
    • The UKIERI Thematic Partnership in Low Carbon Materials Technologies, led by WMG with Tata Steel and multiple Indian IIT partners.
    • The MRC and ICMR jointly funded WMS maternal nutrition study with the Diabetes Research Centre at KEM hospital in Pune
  • Campus events such as the showcase Diwali Ball

We are now looking to expand on this bond, growing richer and deeper ties through new activity, with new partners, reaching more, while at the same time, enhancing the best of our existing activity and connections between Warwick and India, for the benefit of all.

We are running a consultation to gather your views on developing a strategy and your suggestions for activity. Have your say!
