University of Warwick lecturer launches unique writer development scheme for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic children's writers

A new writer development scheme for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic children’s writers is seeking applications. Funded by The Arts Council and The Publishers’ Association, the Megaphone scheme is led by Leila Rasheed who is the author of the Chips, Beans and Limousines series, and teaches Writing For Children on the University of Warwick’s MA in Writing.

Warwick Prize for Writing 2015 Longlist Announced

The Warwick Prize for Writing announces today, 19 June 2015, its longlist of 13 titles under consideration for its 2015 edition. The unique biennial literary prize, run by the University of Warwick, is worth £25,000 and is an international cross-disciplinary award open to any genre or form of writing. The theme for this year’s prize is ‘Instinct’.

Peter Blegvad Wins Sony Award

Peter Blegvad, English and Creative Writing professor, has won a Silver Sony Radio Academy Award for Best Drama with his radiophonic play ‘Use It Or Lose It’.
