Coventry schools robotics volunteer gets 1st class degree - and hes still inventing robotics for local schools
Whitley University of Warwick student Stephen Pithouse has just heard this week that he is to receive a first class degree in engineering from the University when he graduates on 19th July. However he is almost too busy to celebrate this as he is about to start his dream job with internationally renowned Industrial Automation company FANUC at their Whitley base…oh, and he also has to finish designing and manufacturing a new robotics interface for use in Coventry and Warwickshire Schools.

WMG at the University of Warwick is to play a significant role in a new £23 million interdisciplinary Research Hub designed to drive forward UK research in the Internet of Things (IoT).
£4.2 million for worlds most adaptable driving simulator to research driverless cars
WMG have been awarded £3.2 million by The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) to create one of the world’s most adaptable and advanced driving simulators. Support from industry including a further £1 million of funding has been gained to begin research projects with the new technology led by research students embedded in JLR, bringing the total cost of the simulator and its research programme to £4.2 million.
