Yellen (Chair of the US Federal Reserve System) prseented with an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) from the University of WarwickProfessor Sir Nigel Thrift, Vice-Chancellor and President of the UK’s University of Warwick, has presented Janet L. Yellen (Chair of the US Federal Reserve System) with an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) from the University of Warwick. The event took place on the evening of Thursday 19th November in Washington’s Newseum.

Warwick to award honorary degree to Janet L. Yellen Chair of the US Federal Reserve System

The University of Warwick has announced today, Monday the 5th of October 2015  that it is to award an Honorary Doctor of Laws (LLD) to Janet L. Yellen, Chair of the US Federal Reserve System (often known as “the Fed”). The award will be made at a ceremony to be held in Washington DC on 19 November 2015.

Triple table success - Warwick ranked as one of the top 100 universities in the world in third table

The new Shanghai Jiao Tong Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), published on Saturday August 15th 2015, ranks the University of Warwick among the top 100 universities in the world. Warwick is now ranked 92nd in the world in that table, a jump of 96 places on the previous year’s ranking.
