About Warwick Data
We are harnessing the power of data to create a better world.
A key theme in our research strategy, data forms an integral part of many of our departments and research centres. Our data science research is having a positive impact on wider society. Our distinctive interdisciplinary approach is a key strength of our data science activities at Warwick.
Data has become a key component of Warwick’s research landscape. In 2015, we became one of the five founding universities of the Alan Turing Institute - the UK’s national institute for data science and artificial intelligence. We are proud of the work of our many Turing Fellows, postdocs and PhD students who conduct leading research within the Institute.
Our data-related activities take place in many areas - from maths, statistics and computer science, to astrophysics, medicine, social sciences, digital humanities and the Centre for Interdisciplinary Methodologies - to name a few. Plus, our prestigious Warwick Data Science Institute builds on the strength of our research expertise across the Mathematical Sciences, to promote innovative research collaborations to help shape the future of data science.
Warwick Data unites the University community as we work to interrogate and understand data and the role it now plays in all our lives.
