We are proud to discuss inclusivity, innovation and excellence in world-leading research that empowers the UK.

Keynote Speaker - Simon Reeve, Director of Innovation of the Alan Turing Institute

As Director of Innovation at the Alan Turing Institute, Simon is helping the team pivot towards an increased focus on positive application and impact of data science and AI.

A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers with significant international experience in technology and commercial roles across energy and maritime sectors, Simon is also active in several local and national youth and community organisations. As such, he brings both fresh perspective and challenge to the Turing’s evolving mission.


Keynote Speaker - Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon

Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon is a keynote speaker, presenter, and co-founder of the award-winning social enterprise, Stemettes, which works to inspire and support females in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths careers. Anne-Marie has been awarded Honorary Doctorates from the Open University, Glasgow Caledonian University, Kent University, Bristol University and Coventry University, and in June of 2017 was made an Honorary Fellow at Keble College, Oxford. She sits on the Board of Durham University’s Computer Science Department.


Keynote Speaker - Professor Sue Black, OBE

Named in the list of top 50 women in tech in Europe, Sue Black is a Professor of Computer Science at Durham University.

A digital skills expert, social entrepreneur and international speaker, she’s also the winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Lovie Awards 2018 and is one of the leading tech personalities in the UK today.


Poster Competition

A national collection of DS&AI posters will be exhibited at the event, and form part of a competition in which entrants can win a £200 Love2Shop voucher (first prize), with two runners each receiving a £100 Love2Shop voucher.
