GRP Supported Project Published in Coatings Journal

Over the summer of 2018, Philip Lippmann worked with his supervisor Lukasz Figiel of WMG on a research project entitled Multiscale Modelling for Longevity and Performance Improvement of Lithium-Ion Batteries. This allowed him to build on work already completed for his third year project, exploring modelling of degradation mechanisms in lithium-ion batteries, and develop the work into this paper: Stress-Affected Lithiation Reactions in Elasto-Viscoplastic Si Particles with Hyperelastic Polymer Coatings: A Nonlinear Chemo-Mechanical Finite-Element Study. This paper has been published in Coatings in their special issue: Modelling and Simulation of Coating 2019.

Congratulations to Philip on this publication.
