Mindfulness and Wellbeing

About the session:

Dr. Dean Howes will lead a virtual mindfulness session in FABLink opens in a new window which will be screened on the first floor mezzanine. You are welcome to join the session at any time, but please note that the full experience is gained by taking part in the full session. Through the practice of several mindfulness techniques focussed on calming your mind, body, and emotions, the aim is to open yourself to a more immersive experience with poetry and to make the most of the well-being benefits it can provide. No prior experience of mindfulness and no equipment is required.

Meet the Facilitator:

Dean is an Senior tutor at the Centre for Lifelong Learning and has taught a variety of mindfulness, psychology and coaching courses and modules. He has also ran his own private well-being and performance coaching and consultancy company for many years, where he has worked with individuals, groups and organisations. His particular area of specialism is in mindfulness-based positive psychology interventions, applications and pedagogy.
