PDR Information Drop in Sessions for Technicians and Technical Managers

The University has just launched the PDR process for 2024 and we are therefore taking the opportunity to offer some advice on making the most of the PDR process (for both Reviewers and Reviewees) and to remind you of the resources available to Technical Staff. Below is a guide on how to approach a PDR meeting and an information sheet on development opportunities for technical staff.

We will also be running some drop-in sessions for Technicians and Technical Managers. These will be informal sessions where we will be happy to discuss all aspects of the PDR process including:

  • completion of the form/paperwork
  • preparing for the PDR discussion (from both aspects)
  • discussions around development
  • how to handle sensitive situations
  • and anything else that crops up.

Emma and/or Liz will be available as follows:

18 June – 1030-1130 - Uni House atrium

24 June – 1300-1400 – NAIC café

1 July – 1030-1130 – Gibbet Hill café

Feel free to drop in at any of the dates/times/venues listed above. Other dates/times may be scheduled if felt necessary.

If you would prefer to have a one-to-one discussion, please contact Liz (liz.harrison@warwick.ac.uk)/Emma (E.K.Brown@warwick.ac.uk) or Ian (i.hancox@warwick.ac.uk) and this can be arranged. Or, feel free to contact your HR Business Partner to discuss any aspects of the process.
