Thanks to those of you who attended last week’s meeting to discuss Recruitment and Visibility issues in more detail.

The next meeting, on Tuesday 17 November, will concentrate on PROMOTION AND PROGRESSION and RECOGNITION. If you are able to attend please email Technicians@warwick.ac.uk and we will send a calendar invite.

Following a meeting with a group of Technicians across the science faculty on Friday, a number of subjects were raised and ideas put forward which we now want to discuss with a wider range of Technicians. We have split the subjects across two meetings so that we can spend more time on each topic.

The first meeting will be on Friday 30 October at 13:30 and the topics to be discussed are RECRUITMENT and VISIBILITY. If you are able to attend please email Technicians@warwick.ac.uk and we will send a calendar invite.

Whether you’re being filmed for an interview or hosting a demonstration, being on camera can be intimidating at first. But with the right amount of preparation and practice, you will not only look like a natural but you will also connect with your audience more effectively. This workshop aims to remove the fear from being on camera and shares effective solutions to make sure you feel prepared and comfortable before the camera starts to roll.

This workshop will be delivered by Zoom.
