Access to your residence
When you arrive you will be given your access key fob.
It is really important to carry your key fob with you at all times to avoid being locked out as your residence main entrance, bedroom and kitchen door will automatically lock when the door closes.
Using your key fob
Your access key fob should be shown to a main entrance door reader at least once every 7 days to keep it active and updated.
Your key fob will give you access to your residence, bedroom and kitchen so its important to keep this on you at all times.
If you are locked out or lose your key fob
If you are locked out of your room; in the first instance, you can ask your local Residence Hub for a replacement key fob during their opening hoursLink opens in a new window. Outside of these opening hours, you can visit the Student Information Centre at Senate House to be issued with a new key fob. If the Student Information Centre is not open, you can contact Community SafetyLink opens in a new window for assistance.
For security reasons please inform us if you have lost your key. Please note there is no charge for a new key fob to be issued.
