We understand that starting University and moving away from home can be a challenging transition. Whilst most students are very happy once they move into their room on campus and meet their flatmates, there is the option to move room if you find you are struggling to settle in.
Room Transfers
Students who have moved in and are already living on campus can request a transfer to a different room after the first few weeks of Term One.
Please bear in mind that room transfers are dependent on availability and we're unable to guarantee transfers as room availability is especially limited at the beginning of the academic year.
If you'd like to request a room transfer for the current 2025/2026 academic year, please contact our allocation team.
Room transfers for the upcoming 2026/2027 academic year are not yet open.
Direct Room Swaps
An alternative way to move rooms is to find another Warwick student living on campus who wishes to swap with you.
This may be quicker than waiting for a room to become available through the room transfer process.
Direct room swaps for the upcoming academic 2026/2027 academic year are not yet open.
You can apply for a room transfer by completing our transfer request form.
We advise students who apply for a transfer to note as many residence preferences as possible and provide details of additional room profile information i.e. single gender flat, quiet area, central campus location, alternative let length etc.
Our room transfer request form is now closed for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that we will be able to find you a suitable room, as this depends on what is currently available and also dependant on your transfer preferences. However, we will try our best to accommodate your transfer request.

Please bear in mind that we are unable to provide updates on the progress of your transfer request. You'll need to wait until you hear from us and we will be in touch with you when a suitable room becomes available.
