Yes, we would encourage you to still submit an accommodation application. Please see our allocation principles for further information on how we allocate first year undergraduate students.

You'll need to follow our specific accommodation requirements process for your condition. The deadline for specific accommodation requirements requests to be supported by the relevant team is 11 August 2023, so you'll need to ensure you submit suitable evidence in advance of this deadline to ensure there is enough time to be assessed.

Please note that you still need to separately submit an accommodation application. Within your accommodation application you'll need to provide a shorter, brief summary of your requirements such as the nature of your disability, medical or mental health condition.

When you apply you can select up to three en suite halls as preferences in your application. You will need to submit a total of six preferences, including at least three shared bathroom halls. If you prefer, all your preferences can be shared bathroom options. Just over half of our accommodation is en suite, so there is a chance you are allocated to a shared bathroom hall.

The majority of applications for students holding an unconditional offer are allocated through a computer ballot which aims to match students to one of their highest available hall preferences. A ballot will take place after 22 August 2023 for students who have met all three conditions outlined in the allocation principles. Accommodation is not allocated on a first-come first-served basis for first year undergraduates and IFP students.

While we take your preferences into account, there is no guarantee that you will be allocated to one of your preferences. Please bear in mind we may have more rooms adapted for accessibility requirements than are required for the academic year, so it is possible students who do not require adaptations will be allocated to an adapted room.

It is also possible in years of very high demand that further accommodation options will be added or removed after you have notified us of your preferences and you may be allocated to an option that was not advertised when your application was submitted.

If you're coming to Warwick as a first year undergraduate student, we will usually process your accommodation application after A level results have been released, when most students have an unconditional firm offer of study at Warwick. If you are coming to Warwick as an IFP student, we usually process your accommodation application in late August. There's nothing you need to do until we contact you regarding your allocation from late August to early September.

If you haven't heard from us by 11 September 2023, then please get in touch with us by emailing accommodation@warwick.ac.uk. Please don't contact us if you haven't received an offer before this date and make sure you are regularly checking your spam/junk mail folders. Once you have enrolled and registered for an ITS account at Warwick, we will send correspondence to your Warwick email address, so please make sure you are regularly checking this account too.

We send offers of accommodation by email and you will have two working days to accept your offer of accommodation. If you miss this deadline we may not be able to make another offer of accommodation, so it’s important to regularly check your email accounts. We can only make one offer of accommodation however you are able to reject your offer, but you will need to make alternative accommodation arrangements. If you accept your offer of accommodation for a particular hall, please note that your specific room allocation can change up until your date of arrival.

You will still be able to submit an application for accommodation after 22 August 2023 and we would encourage you to apply for accommodation as soon as possible. Whilst we are not able to guarantee that you will be allocated a place on campus, we will endeavour to allocate you to a room, however it will be subject to availability.

Applicants who will be under 18 at the point of entry should be aware that they are applying to live in an adult environment. Please note, if you will be under 18 during the Easter vacation period and you need to stay on campus, it may be advisable to not select a 35 week let length option as one of your preferences as we are unable to house students under the age of 18 in vacation accommodation.

If you withdraw your application and resubmit a new application you will not be guaranteed accommodation. You can resubmit an accommodation application after withdrawing your original accommodation application, however if you choose to do this your hall allocation will be the same as before, subject to availability.
