Special Arrangements: Events and Visitors

Important Notice

The reserved visitor car park scheme has temporarily been suspended until further notice. Please refer to our FAQS at the bottom of the webpage for further guidance.

    Reserved visitor parking is available on Central Campus daily.

    If you're a member of staff and you have an upcoming event involving external visitors, you can submit your request online to reserve parking for them within the reserved visitor car park. The spaces reserved for visitors are held Monday – Friday, up until 3pm to assist during the peak times of day.

    If your booking has been approved you will be notified via email. The email will state that your space is reserved between 8am - 3pm within the reserved visitor car park regardless of the timings entered. Visitors are not required to depart from their space after 3pm, however any unclaimed space is released to other users after this time. We do not operate this scheme past this time or during bank holidays and weekends.

    Visitor parking is charged. There are two payment options for this:

    1. Your visitor can purchase a reserved visitor pay and display ticket from the machine when they arrive.
    2. You can supply your visitor with a Flexi-Pay, pay and display scratch card to display in their vehicle when they arrive.

    We are unable to process on the day reserved submissions.

    We do not reserve any blue badge or electric vehicle spaces.

    Temporary suspension of the reserved visitor parking scheme

    Following the current advice for COVID-19, a parking attendant will no longer be stationed at the reserved visitor car park from Monday 23rd March. Please refer to our FAQs below, or contact CarParking@warwick.ac.uk if you have enquiries which are not answered within the FAQs.

    • I wish to book spaces for my external visitor(s) in the next few months, can I do this now?

    The parking attendant will return to the car park as soon as it is deemed appropriate by the University of Warwick COVID-19 advice. Due to the uncertainty of dates, all bookings will be processed as normal, however please note whether the space is reserved is dependant on the situation at the time.

    • I have already booked a space within the date impacted, will my space still be reserved?

    Unfortunately we will not be able to guarantee a space for the visitor, though currently there is a very low demand for parking. If your visitor has prepaid parking organised with a pass to be to be issued by the attendant, we will not be able to distribute this to the visitor on their arrival. However we will advise the parking enforcement team that the individuals have paid so they are not issued with a parking charge notice within the visitor car park - please ensure we are provided with the vehicle registration number if you have organised prepaid parking.

    • Will my visitor still be able to use the reserved visitor car park?

    Yes, the car park will be available and continue to operate as a reserved visitor car park due to the current uncertainty of dates. We hope this advice will provide capacity for prebooked visitors who have already been informed of their parking arrangements.
