Unravelling unconscious bias event

The Department of Chemistry are hosting a faculty-wide speaker event, with Pragya Agarwal, talking about Unconscious Bias.

The event will take place on 11 October 2021, 2-3pm.

About: Dr Pragya Agarwal is a behavioural scientist, a diversity consultant and speaker, and an award-winning scientist and academic. She is a freelance journalist for Forbes, The Guardian, Huffington Post etc. on racism, sexism, women’s rights, inequities, fairer and happier workplaces, motherhood, reproductive justice, bodies and healthcare bias, and technology and AI. Dr Agarwal will talk about Unconscious Bias, based on her hit book "Sway: Unravelling Unconscious Bias".

This talk is part of the Department of Chemistry Diversity Book Club series, with the final book this year being "Sway" and exploring biases within the chemical sciences, with the project funded by the Royal Society of Chemistry.
