Focus groups and beyond: Gathering and using student feedback
Sign up to attend - 29 January, 09:30-11:30, Teaching and Learning Space (Library).
In this session we'll be joined by the Market Research and Insight Manager for current students from the University's Market Research and Insight (MRI) team. This workshop will provide staff and students with guided support, practical advice, and expert insight on carrying out small-scale student feedback activities. The session aims to help build confidence and consistency in local practice by sharing best-practice principles used across the university.
We’ll offer:
- An overview of how university-wide surveys and insight processes work
- Focus group essentials and recommended practice
- Practical guidance on alternative, light-touch methods that help reduce survey fatigue while maintaining quality insight
This session is especially helpful for colleagues gathering feedback as part of their Inclusive Education Action Plans, ensuring alignment with established research standards and continuity with central insight processes. Staff and students are both welcome.
If you would like more information or have any questions, please email inclusiveeducation@warwick.ac.uk.
The above will be followed by an optional focus group practice session between 11:30-12:30.
