Frequently asked questions

Who can use the space?

The Forum is an open space for all communities to enjoy including University of Warwick students, staff, community groups, societies and campus visitors.

Do I need to book the stage at the Forum?

Not at all! The Forum is not a programmed space, so the stage is available to anyone wishing to participate when not in use by other members of the community.

Who developed the space?

The Forum was developed in collaboration with creative consultancy, Creative Giants, who specialise in enhancing environments and making statements through art. Creative Giants have worked with artists, institutions, non-profit organisations and events including Science Museum and Glastonbury Festival. Multi-disciplinary design and fabrication agency, Raskl Art Architecture , successfully realised the vision through the production.

How was the space made?

Building on the University’s strategy to create a sustainable future, the Forum was developed using high impact sustainable materials that can be renewed, repurposed or recycled again. For example, the tactile surfaces have been created from a post-industrial recycled plastic which has a beautiful pink pigment that gives a seamless terrazzo quality.

Why is the Forum pink?

The Forum has been painted with a striking pink colour to create a playful and creative space where ideas can flourish, and self-expression can thrive. Pink is also known to evoke sentiments of warmth, nurturing, and tranquillity, helping to craft an environment that feels welcoming and inclusive for our campus community.
