Nominate a New University Chancellor

The term of office of our Chancellor, Baroness Cathy Ashton, will end in December 2024. Cathy has played a significant part in the life of the University since 2016 and we will celebrate her contribution later this year.

Now, we want your help to find the right person to represent you – our staff, student and alumni community – as the next Chancellor of the University of Warwick.

The Chancellor is the ceremonial head of the University. As well as their official duties conferring degrees, they play a key role in promoting our work and ambitions in the UK and overseas, and in our development and fundraising activities.

The person we’re looking for

We’re searching for someone who is forward-looking, a leading national or international figure in their field, and changing the world for the better.

They should share our valuesLink opens in a new window, understand Warwick’s ambitions and be able to inspire our community and our partners.

Warwick is committed to building an organisation of mutual respect and dignity, promoting a welcoming, diverse and inclusive environment. We therefore encourage nominations of candidates from all communities.
