Terms of Reference
(i) | To regulate the admission of students to research degrees, in accordance with our regulations governing Postgraduate degrees, the initial conditions of registration and any change to these conditions. | ||
(ii) | To make recommendations to the Education Committee and Research Committee, after consultation with the Faculty Boards, Departments and Faculty Education Committees, if appropriate, on all matters to do with postgraduate research study in the University. | ||
(iii) | To make recommendations on the appropriate provision of academic resources and social facilities for postgraduate research students in the University. | ||
(iv) | To make awards established from University funds to postgraduate research students and to nominate postgraduate research students for graduate awards made by external bodies. | ||
(v) | To advise the Education Committee and Research Committee on any general or specific strategic considerations regarding graduate study. |
