See below for a video showing use of a Automated External Defibrillator (AED) which is courtesy of the St. John's Ambulance. Note that if persons are in need of resuscitation then ideally a First Aider should be called for help. If on campus or at a separate place of work and it is during 'normal working hours', firstly make contact with a local First Aider. If on campus the alternative emergency number to call for Community Safety is (External 02476 522222) (Internal 22222) which is available 24/7.

All University First Aiders and Security who have attended the full First Aid training course at Warwick University will have received Automated External Defibrillator training as part of their course. However, Automated External Defibrillator's can be used by anyone as they are designed with simple instructions and talk you through what you need to do as demonstrated below:
