Emergency Procedures on Campus

If you need external emergency services (like ambulance, fire, or police) while on campus, call the Community Safety emergency number first. They will advise you if you should then call 999. You may be best placed to answer questions from the emergency services, and Community Safety can help by guiding them directly to your location.

However, in life-threatening situations, call 999 first if you're the only person present. If others are with you, one person should call 999 while another contacts Community Safety. If achievable please contact Community Safety after you have called 999.
