First Aid Awareness Sessions
First Aid Awareness Sessions are being offered on a trial basis for current First aiders at the University of Warwick to refresh their skills and knowledge between the standard 3 year qualification expiry period.
Training sessions will be taking place face to face on campus on 11th, 12th and 13th December 2023.

Three different training sessions will be running; you can book onto more than one session.

MODULE 1: INTRODUCTION: ▪ Introductions ▪ What is first aid? MODULE 2: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FIRST AIDER: ▪ legislation ▪ assigning roles at scene survey-Practical ▪ contacting the emergency services-Practical ▪ accident reporting-Practical MODULE 3: PRIMARY SURVEY ▪ PRACTICAL: Defibrillator practical, L.I.N.E. information, Role designation-C.P.R., defib, first aid box. MODULE 4: SECONDARY SURVEY ▪ PRACTICAL: Secondary Survey, (Head-to-Toe): MODULE 5: RECOVERY POSITION ▪ Review of Recovery Position Presentation Slides and Practical Demo |

You will then receive an email with booking instructions accordingly.
NOTE: this training is to refresher first aider knowledge in between standard training courses and no certification of the training session will be granted.
