Ensure that the University has a contract in place for the statutory inspection and testing of specific items of high risk equipment that the University own or use, namely lifting equipment (for goods and people) and for pressure systems, which will include smaller items such as coffee machines through to complex pressure vessels like bulk storage tanks or air receivers. The contract currently remains with Zurich.

Zurich use a safety management system called CRIMSON which is where the statutory testing records for lifting equipment and pressure systems can be found.

Training

Procurement and Insurance Services will arrange ad hoc training with the company who has been awarded the contract for pressure system and lifting equipment statutory testing.
