Brief descriptor Refresher training on food safety and food hygiene matters based around the following topic areas:
  • Delivery and storage of food
  • Display of chilled and ambient goods
  • Fitness to work
  • Hand washing
  • Cleaning and disinfection
Who is it for? Retail (food) Assistants who are employed within the supermarket Candidates would normally attend this session three years after gaining the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Retail certificate.
What will the participant get out of this? Food handlers will be reminded of “best-practice” thus ensuring competency and compliance in food safety & food hygiene procedures and requirements of associated legislation.
Participant preparation needed? Multiple-choice assessment (12 questions) at the end of the session
