Release notes for web applications
SiteBuilder 2.440 released
We released SiteBuilder 2.440 on Wednesday 24th June 2020. In this version:
- We made further accessibility improvements, including:
- When you add a maths equation to a page, you are now prompted to provide a human-readable version for people using screen reader software.
- It is now easier to navigate the SiteBuilder edit screen using only a keyboard.
- Forms set to allow users to make one submission that can't be changed later, and to go to another page after submission, now inform users that they can't submit more than once. Previously, the form took users to the specified page without informing them.
- On a 'Multiple Researcher Profiles' page, if more than one researcher is an author of a given paper, the paper is only listed once.
- We began the process of retiring older versions of the visual editor. For the time being, this means they no longer appear among the dropdown options for editing a page.
SiteBuilder 2.439 released
We released SiteBuilder 2.439 on Wednesday 17th June 2020. In this version we made some accessibility improvements, including to the icons used for links. Users of screen reader software will now hear information about these icons.
SiteBuilder 2.438 released
We released SiteBuilder 2.438 on Monday 8th June 2020. In this version we fixed some bugs, including one that affected the use of WebGroups with resource booking pages. You can now search for a WebGroup to use when editing the permissions for a resource or specifying who a booking rule applies to.
SiteBuilder 2.437 released
We released SiteBuilder 2.437 on Thursday 4th June 2020. In this version we fixed a couple of bugs, including one that prevented granting permissions to external users.
SiteBuilder 2.436 released
We released SiteBuilder 2.436 on Wednesday 3rd June 2020. In this version:
- We made some accessibility improvements, including:
- Labels for input fields, for example on forms or in a page's properties, now present screen reader software with better information.
- We also fixed some bugs, including two that affected resource booking pages:
- It is now not possible to create two periods of unavailability with the same start time. Doing so meant that the periods could not subsequently be deleted.
- On pages with many resources, the tabs for these no longer overlap the time slots.
