Guides to IT Services: new students

Welcome to Warwick! This simple, six-step guide is to help you get started.

1. Access to your ITS Account

You will use your ITS Account to access most of the services we provide. You are usually asked to register for it in our new students' welcome site. Your username is usually your University ID preceded by the letter U (e.g. U1234567). You can also recover your username or password if you forget them.

2. Get online

Use your ITS Account to connect to the hotspot-secure Wi-Fi network while studying. If you are moving into on-campus accommodation you can access the resnet-secure Wi-Fi network or the wired network using the connection points provided.

3. Access to your email

About 30 minutes after you register for your ITS Account, you can access your Warwick email using Outlook. Alternatively, you can configure your email account on your iPhone or Android phone.

4. Install your essentials

Get ready for your studies with your free license of Office 365, available to you while you’re a student at Warwick. Protect your computer with an anti-virus software. Assistive technology is also available to all students.

6. Download the My Warwick mobile app

Get everything in one place in the My Warwick app, available at the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
