What we do
We check and maintain all these rooms regularly and respond to any problems reported as quickly as possible to minimise any disruption to teaching and learning.
We represent IT Services on the Teaching and Learning Spaces Development Group who oversee refurbishment projects in the University’s centrally timetabled rooms. We also work directly with departments on locally managed rooms and spaces to make sure that AV technology and systems are consistent, easy to use and reliable everywhere on campus.
We regularly publish Audio Visual Service Metrics to help provide clarity and insight to our colleagues and customers in relation to the type and nature of the work we do and how responsive we are in responding to our customers requests. Our Service Level Agreements with the University provide more information about our target metrics and response times.
What we don't do
Audio Visual (AV) Services does not operate as a commercial or free at the point of use Event Production or Events Support service.

If you are in a teaching room and require urgent assistance, please call 024 765 22463. You will also find our contact details sticker in every centrally timetabled room on the lectern.
If you find any non-urgent problems with the AV equipment in a centrally timetabled room, please report the fault by filling in our online fault report form.

Need some help and support with using AV or Radio Broadcast equipment?
We provide technical support for all centrally timetabled and committee rooms. If you would like technical support in a room you have not used before, you can book one of our technicians in advance to be there at the start of your lecture. Please note that this service is subject to availability and operational capacity.

- There is no on-call service outside these hours. However, subject to prior arrangement, AV technicians may be available to work outside these hours (subject to additional charges).
This service is typically free at the point of use. However, charges are applied for some out of hours works (overtime) and for Multimedia Production activities.
