myAdvantage

myAdvantage brings together career and skills development opportunities and resources all in one place, including Warwick Volunteers activities. From skills workshops, careers appointments, and information resources to employer presentations, careers fairs and job vacancies.

In addition to services previously accessed through Casigma such as jobs database and events calendar, a CV building tool and information resources to help career planning and skills development is also available.

List of standard requests

myAdvantage is hosted on campus on two virtual servers running Windows server 2008 and MS SQL server for the database the application developers and support team are based in Australia. The following standard requests can be made by the Careers Service.

Student View

The system is dependant on a view provided by the University which is used to update student records. The name of the view is V_UW_CAREERS. It is on the UWTABS schema on the SITS production database. Student Careers & Skills may request changes to the view as required.

Availability

The service is normally available 24/7, not withstanding periods of non-availability required for planned maintenance.
