Working at Warwick
Our History and Vision
Established in 1965, we have always strived to achieve more, so at just over 50 years old, we are already challenging other UK universities centuries older than us.
Our vision is to form a distinctive and vibrant learning, working and living community that is people-focused and carbon-neutral with a ‘cosmopolitan in the countryside’ feel. The community will support regional development through transforming transport connectivity and supporting inclusive regional growth.

Our Campus
Our campus is a living laboratory, with researchers and students actively involved in sustainability. We generate around 60% of our own heat and power, and we’re now saving £340 per hour on water, gas and electricity compared to 10 years ago.
Our Local Community
Coventry was the UK’s City of Culture for 2021, we were a principal supporter helping our local community through a number of collaborations with community groups, cultural groups, charities and venues.
Inclusion
We’re proud of the work we do to ensure we have an inclusive workplace. Respect is one of our principles and there are many ways in which you can get involvedLink opens in a new window in the work we do. We aspire to remove economic, social and cultural barriers that have prevented talented people from working and studying at Warwick and to be recognised as best in class in our approach to diversity and social inclusion, for staff and students.
Internationalisation
Warwick aims to be widely regarded as one of the world’s leading international universities, especially in its composition of staff and student bodies, its transnational research and in the intercultural experiences available to all our staff and students.
