Senior Residential Community Assistants
Senior Residential Community Assistants (SRCAs) are a new role for the academic year 2025-2026. SRCAs will have the same responsibilities as a Residential Community Assistant (RCA) and additional responsibilities as mentors to other team members. SRCAs will also act as a liaison between the RCA team and the senior management team (Residential Community Coordinator, RCC).
SRCAs will be responsible for building Community Wellbeing, Community Behaviour and Community Building within the Warwick residential community and support the RCCs in enhancing the provision of the RCT. They will be expected to demonstrate commitment to the residential life of our students by working to create a sense of community that contributes to the development of inclusive hall communities and promote a sense of belonging alongside physical and mental wellbeing.
SRCAs will be expected to work 12-15 hours per week for the entirety of the academic year, including vacation, which includes a rota of on-call (student visa holders are exempt from working on-call). You will respond to incidents and issues throughout your shifts alongside complete proactive engagement to promote wellbeing alongside supporting the Warwick University discipline process, upholding the University’s Values in relation to behavioural expectations
