Alex Manners: Living with Asperger's

Alex will be coming to the University on 28th February 2018 to deliver a talk on what it is like living with Asperger's:

Alex Manners, 21, has Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of Autism and will be discussing what it is like living with Asperger’s. He will be talking about what it is like to live with Asperger’s on a day to day basis and within a family as well as discussing the ways in which people with Asperger’s think, feel and view the world. This is the chance to understand first-hand how People with Asperger’s view and make sense of the world around them and how they cope with many of the challenges that life can throw at them.

He will discuss some of the sensory issues that can affect him from certain noises to the feel of certain objects.

Also included within the discussion will be a question and answer session where you will be able to ask Alex any questions regarding Asperger’s or on the subjects that he has covered.
