Growing up LGBTQUA+ through the Decades: LGBTQUA+ History Month Networking Lunch

Tuesday 26 February 2019
12 - 2pm
Scarman Small Bar

LGBTQUA+ History Month is observed throughout February, it is an annual celebration of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans history, and the history of the LGBTQUA+ rights and related civil rights movements. The overall aim of LGBTQUA+ History month is to promote equality and diversity for the benefit of the public.

The 'Growing up LGBTQUA+ through the Decades' lunch is a chance to network with colleagues and engage in discussions about how experiences of growing up LGBTQUA+ have changed over time, for example with the advancement of the internet and social media and the passage of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act in 2013.

This event is for all students and members of staff who identify as LGBTUA+, as well as supporters who have an interest in LGBTQUA+ History.

The event will include lunch, display boards identifying key LGBTQUA+ influences and events, and the opportunity to meet with colleagues with a shared interest in LGBTQUA+ history.
