Inspiring Women for staff

Welcome to Inspiring Women Events, which are a series of occasional one-hour lunchtime talks by female speakers. These talks are then followed by interactive workshops to support your career development and/or networking. The initiative was established in order to encourage and inspire female staff at Warwick, to learn from other women, share their own experiences and to meet with colleagues they may not otherwise encounter on campus.
Staff events are open to all.

Thank you to all those that attended our first event of the new academic year!

‘Networking...for people who hate networking!’

Sarah Jackson, Careers Manager at WBS, facilitated a wonderful interactive and engaging workshop, providing us with an overview of what networking is and how we can embrace it.
Our first event of the academic year explored the theme of Networking...for people who hate networking!

Sarah has a wealth of experience in this area and is a committed, Careers & Leadership Development professional, with expertise in designing and delivering a wide range of leadership development programmes.
A seasoned executive coach, Sarah is passionate about helping people reach their potential.

As usual with our events it was well attended and many found the workshop useful - especially with the opportunity to practice our networking skills!

IMPORTANT: Please look out for future events which will be advertised on this webpage. Alternatively, you may wish to join our MS Teams Group for Staff only. Please Register here for MS Teams Group.

Anne retired in July 2024, and is now a freelance trainer - mostly women's development and career coaching. You can read her blog: https://thecareercatalyst.co.uk/
