Activator Awards Evening 2016
On 14th June we held our annual Activator Awards Evening to celebrate the successes and dedication of the volunteers who help us to run the Warwick Active programme. We invited all of this year’s activators as well as some of our internal and external partners who support the programme. We also had guest speaker, Jack Rutter, from Sporting Champions come in to inspire our activators to continue the hard work they do. Jack is the England Cerebal Palsy Football Captain and will captain the side that is going to Rio this summer for the Olympics.
This year has been fantastic in terms of volunteering, with 32 of our student volunteers being recognised as Activators on their HEAR reports. We have over 40 activators who volunteer on a weekly basis, with an additional 20 event activators. These activators have clocked up over 1250 hours of volunteering time this year, facilitating over 100 hours of activity every week!
