- During a family swim a person aged 16 or older can supervise up to three swimmers aged 4-11 years old. Any non-swimmers must use floatation support.
- On the day of your swim, please register at the Sports and Wellness Hub reception and collect your wristband.
Intensive Swim Course
Tuesday 29 October to Friday 1 November
Open to all current Learn to Swim members, our intensive swim lessons will build confidence and support your child’s swimming development through ‘accelerated learning’.

What to expect:
- 30-minute lessons each day.
- Small lesson sizes (maximum of four swimmers per group).
- Lessons taught by our qualified Swim England swimming instructors.
- Three lessons to choose from:
- Group lessons - focus on swimming skills and technique. Suitable for Stages 1 – 5.
- One day lessons - focus on forward rolls, handstands, sculling and other aquatic skills. Suitable for Stages 5 and 6.
- One day diving course - suitable for Stages 6+.
Please ensure you book your child onto their current Learn to Swim stage.

Swimming with children
Children aged 11 or younger must be supervised at all times within the water and changing rooms by a parent or person over 16. A maximum of 3 children aged 11 years or younger are permitted per parent or person over 16. The parent can be of any age and only the ratio of supervision will be imposed.
- When the pool is set at 1.3m, 1 person over 16 to supervise every child under 3 and 1 adult to supervise 2 children aged 4-11 years.
- During a family swim a person aged 16 or older can supervise up to three swimmers age 4-11 years old. Any non-swimmers must use floatation support.
- Parents/guardians must stay in the facility with all children aged 11 years or younger during swimming lessons.
- For babies aged 3 years and under the ratio is one adult to one child.
