About Ben

Ben is an Alpine Ski Racer and also enjoys playing rugby, football and cricket competitively. He grew up in New Zealand where he began ski racing at his local mountain - Mount Hutt. As he got older Ben started racing in national and regional competitions across the country with some success.

“As a youth racer I spent the Northern Hemisphere winter training predominantly in France, and racing across Europe and Canada in major international children’s events such as Trofeo Topolino and Whistler Cup. At 16 years old my family moved to Switzerland where I completed my last two years of school. This made ski racing much more accessible as I had numerous mountains on my back door.”

Ben took a gap year after finishing school to pursue ski racing and made significant improvements. As an older athlete Ben has been managing his studies alongside of school and is now a first year student studying Economics, Politics and International Studies.
