Student Mobility timeline

October Student Mobility team run Study Abroad Information sessionsLink opens in a new window
  Region specific sessions run for students to narrow down where they might want to go
November Academic departments receive list of year abroad placements for next academic year (27-28)
  Departments host information sessions with interested students
November - December Students apply for Year Abroad as directed by their academic department (usually online form)
December - January Departmental selection process and departments inform Student Mobility of study placement allocations
January - June Students confirm, accept allocated place and complete risk assessment with departmental signature
  Students nominated by Student Mobility to university partners (according to partner deadlines)
February to March Social sessions for students to meet with others nominated to their host country run by Student Mobility
March to June

Students complete application with host university. They decide whether student accepted.

 

Work based applications to department (if permitted). Follow departmental process

 

Offer letter received from partner

April or May

Student Mobility team host pre-departure briefing ahead of student travel

July

First placements start in mid-July 2027
