We recently worked with local secondary school, Finham Park. As part of their schools English Intervention Programme, they have a small group of students who complete additional work in English to improve upon their literacy skills. During lessons they learnt all about sentence structure, rhyme, internal rhyme and alliteration. The students then wrote their own stories and also designed their own booklets.

The school wanted the booklets to look professional so that the children could be really proud of their own achievements and share them with their families and friends. Warwick Print printed the booklets and the school was very pleased with our service, particularly the fast turnaround and the quality of the finished booklets.

As part of the project the students went along to Finham Park Primary School for a morning to read their stories to the younger children. Feedback from the students was that they enjoyed having a live audience to read to and realised that having a group of little children to sit in front of was a scarier prospect than they had imagined! It certainly helped build confidence in their literacy skill set.
