How did you find out about Warwick?

I found out about Warwick via UCAS.

Did you consider studying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?

I considered applying to London universities. I chose Warwick because, when I came to the open day and spoke to students around campus, everyone was super friendly and kind. Who you study with is a big part of your university experience, so I knew this was a great sign and chose Warwick as my firm choice.

How did you apply and did anyone help you with your application form and visa application?

I applied through UCAS and my high school helped with reference letters and personal statement.

Was your arrival and orientation and orientation ok? What was your first impression of Warwick?

I arrived during the Covid-19 lockdown, Welcome Week was online, so my first impression wasn't amazing, but the rest of my experience was so great! I would have never thought of all the opportunities available in this university.

What is the best thing about Warwick?

The people are the kindest and most resilient I’ve met. They have had to work hard to achieve their successes and it’s motivating to be surrounded by that, people used to being top of their classes, head girls and head boys.

What is the worst thing?

First year was online and socialising was limited during the pandemic.

How was your accommodation?

Bluebell was really nice, centrally located and all the appliances were really useful to have. The best thing was that cleaners would deep clean the kitchen weekly

Did you undertake any internships or study abroad opportunities?

I undertook a Spring internship with Credit Suisse and Summer internship with Gleacher Shacklock, which I converted to a full time job.

Are you a member of any societies?

Salsa Society was a highlight because they cater to all levels, and starting as a newbie I eventually reached the advance level. It was great to do something non academic. I also was part of the Pole and Aerial Arts Society which saw me compete and win in an inter-university pole competition. Warwick Finance Society helped me work on my marketing skills as a society exec and they also put up great networking events and conferences.

Have your travelled during your studies?

Extensively. Trains connections are quite good from both Leamington and Coventry. Birmingham International is the airport I used to travel home. Ryanair has quite a few flights from there so I used this airport to travel across Europe, as well as London airports sometimes.

What are your plans when you graduate?

I have a job starting immediately in investment banking as a financial analyst in London.

If you were giving advice to a student considering study at Warwick, what advice would you give them?

Be open to new experiences and say yes to all opportunities. Try to get involved in the department for the best student experience!

What one thing about Warwick makes you happy?

Bumping into my friends all the time on campus
