Did you consider applying anywhere else? What made you choose Warwick?

I decided to study my degree in England because I have always preferred the British system to do my university studies. My first choice was the University of Oxford and my second one was Warwick. The majority of my friends and family study in Spain. I have heard that Warwick was very famous for its balance between academic and social life. For me, that was very important.

Did you contact the university prior to application?

In June before I made my UCAS application I have visited the open day sessions of many universities. Warwick open day was really helpful to clarify some aspects and the teachers that were there were very open and happy to meet us.

How was your arrival?

I was a little bit stressed. But quickly I was able to make a group of friends. As we were in the same situation we helped each other to settle.

What is the best thing about studying at Warwick?

For me the social atmosphere. Warwick is a very international university with students from different backgrounds and countries. This is a source of richness and constant learning.

Have you joined any clubs or societies?

This year I have been the secretary of the Warwick Spanish Society. Also I collaborate pretty much with the PPE society for academic exchange of material.

Have you managed to travel at all during your studies?

Yes. I try to do a weekend travel in Europe or UK once per month.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

I have been interested to work in the financial sector, especially real estate investment.

What makes you happiest about being a student at Warwick?

The capacity to be constantly learning and challenging myself. , Not only academically but also personally.

What advice would you give to someone considering applying to Warwick?

I extremely recommend to choose Warwick. Studying here is an open door to a lot of new personal experiences and very interesting academic and professional opportunities.
