Successful Warwick Scholars applicants receive a guaranteed offer of between 2-4 grades lower than the standard entry requirements and a 50% tuition fee discount, in addition to a full programme of support pre-entry and during their studies.

Streams:
Historical Studies

For students interested in History, Classics, Ancient History or History of Art. Most suited to students studying A-level History.

Modern Languages & Cultures

For students interested in the study of modern foreign languages and cultural studies. The stream will be accessible to all students regardless of the languages studied. Most suited to students studying a language A-level.

Solving Sustainability Challenges

For students interested in the study of a wide range of disciplines, including global sustainable development, liberal arts and design studies. This stream brings together a range of subjects to think about the central question of solving sustainability challenges. Suitable for students with any A-level profile.


Attendees will explore two to three different areas related to the stream's central theme through mini-taster lectures. Students will also receive information on Warwick Scholars Applications, enjoy student-led campus tours, and have the opportunity to engage with academic departments and student support services. Students with interests in streams on separate days are encouraged to attend both.

For students interested in English, linguistics, creative writing, and related subjects. Suitable for students with any A-level profile.

Politics & Philosophy
For students interested in politics, international relations, philosophy, or related subjects. Suitable for students with any A-level profile.
Society & Development

For students interested in studying a wide range of disciplines, including Education Studies, Sociology, Psychology, or Social Sciences. Suitable for students with any A-level profile.


Attendees will explore two to three different areas related to the stream's central theme through mini taster lectures. Students will also receive information on Warwick Scholars Applications, enjoy student-led campus tours, and have the opportunity engage with academic departments and student support services. Students with interests in streams on separate days are encouraged to attend both.

Year 12 Academic Taster Event: STEM

April 17th 2024-9:30 am-3:00 pm

Streams:
Health & Natural Sciences

For students interested in studying biology, life sciences, health, or medical-related subjects. Most suited to students studying A-levels in Biology and a second science.

Engineering & Technology

For students interested in studying engineering, technological or manufacturing-related subjects. Most suited to students studying A-levels in Maths and/or Physics.

Physics & Astronomy

For students interested in studying physics and related fields, including astronomy. Most suited to students studying A-level Physics and Maths.

Mathematical & Computer Sciences

For students interested in further study in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science. Most suited to students studying an A-level in Maths.


The day includes mini-taster lectures, interactive sessions, and opportunities to learn about Warwick Scholars Applications and university life. A student can register for one of the four streams based on their subject interest, with an optional campus tour available from 3 pm to 3.45 pm. Note: all pathways programme students are invited to this day separately as part of their programme and will be excluded from your schools’ numbers.
