Form to request a new start date or deferral

Please ensure you read this information before proceeding.
This form should be used to request a change to your study start date. By completing this form, you are confirming that you have already had discussions with either your academic department or central admissions (where needed) and are confirming you definitely would like to move your study dates. You should not complete this form if you have questions about this process or are unsure whether you want to move your study dates – in this case, please instead refer to your offer letter, to find the contact information for your academic department and speak with them first.

Requests to change a start date or defer studies are not automatically approved by completing this form. When you submit this form, the central admissions team will review it within 5 working days and will liaise with the academic department about your request. We will ask for the departments to respond to us with their decisions within 5 working days and once the request is approved or declined by them, we will update your record and get in touch with you via email to confirm. Please allow 10 working days for the full process to be completed and note that in busy periods, this may take a little longer. We appreciate your patience.
