This workshop will guide you through the ways to create engaging hands on activities based on your research or your area of work. Through exercises and interaction participants will gain understanding of how to communicate more effectively whatever the setting. Ideal for groups or individuals working towards an event or looking for new ideas to share their work.

About the session lead

Dr Jamie GallagherLink opens in a new window is an award-winning freelance communicator and engagement professional with ten years’ experience in the delivery and evaluation of quality engagement projects. Working across dozens of institutions and subject areas he has improved the reach, profile and impact of research engagement in almost every academic discipline.

Last Minute Cancellations/ No Shows

This session is subject to our training cancellation policy. If you can no longer attend you must give at least 7 days notice to cancel your place or else receive a strike on your record. Those with two strikes will be barred from future training and WIE Funding until the following academic year. Exceptions do apply for illness/ emergency. Please see the policy for full details.
