Get involved in our Spring/Summer Programme

We are looking for staff and students to support WIE events and activities taking place between February and July 2023.

From British Science Week and The Big Read to our annual Resonate Festival, there are lots of ways to get involved. Please use the link and complete the (brief) form to let us know what you're interested in. Alternatively you can email us at wie@warwick.ac.uk.

Find out about some of our different programmes and festivals coming up throughout the year. They are all open to everyone from across the University and include a mix of adult and family audiences as well as on and off-campus activity.

Resonate Lates

For an adult audience, Resonate Lates is a series of evening talks and discussions delivered by University of Warwick staff and students around topics such as health and wellbeing, sustainability, climate change, innovation, and creativity.

Held in an informal atmosphere, often with food and drink, it's a chance to start a conversation, and explore a range of topics with diverse audiences.

Rolling Resonate

Over the Autumn and Spring terms, a group of researchers will be invited to take part in the development of the first batch of Rolling Resonate demonstrators. A mini museum on wheels, these engagement pieces will consist of demonstrations, hands on practical activities and talking pieces, designed for public spaces such as shopping centres, museums and parks … we bring the engagement to you.

The Big Read

A celebration of reading and story-telling! Delivering an evening for adults and day for families we’ll host live read-alongs of well-known and lesser-known children’s books on campus, delivered by staff and students in character and supported with sign language interpretation. We're looking for narrators, actors, table-top activities and more. Your imagination is the only limit!

ESRC Festival of Social Science

Bringing together a variety of social science focused events, activities and people to our local community through workshops, hands-on practical activities and talks, all in-person or online. In 2022 it will take place from Saturday 22nd October to Sunday 13th November. Find out more.

Our contribution to the national programme, we’ll host a series of talks and discussions from University of Warwick staff and students based on the theme of the year … whatever that may be!

FABFest

Our day to focus on the Arts. Using the fabulous Faculty of Arts (FAB) building, we’ll support a series of events and activities based around the arts for people of all ages to enjoy and participate in.

British Science Week

Supporting staff and students to take part in the national programme focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) through a range of activities and events, in-person and online.

We're looking for table-top activities for our science fair, science shows for schools, talks for adults and more.

Resonate Festival

Our final ‘hurrah’ of the year – a celebration and coming together of everything that’s taken place over the year, on campus and open to all. There’ll be an evening for grown-ups followed by a day for the not so grown-ups, delivered by staff and students from all areas and all subjects across the university.
