University Response to Coronavirus

We would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that the safety and wellbeing of our campus and local community is our highest priority and we are taking steps to protect individuals.

We continue to follow advice from the Government and Public Health England (PHE).

From Friday 20 March we are suspending all non-critical campus activities and moving to remote and online working. While this is not a full closure, this is a big step for the University. We will be ensuring that some critical activities still take place on campus, for example supporting the students who will still be living on campus.

As many of our staff work from home, we are encouraging them be good neighbours. By this we mean volunteering in our local communities where possible. Our staff are a fantastic resource to help around the region: in our towns, our cities and our communities. There are senior citizens, looked-after children and people using food banks that will need help and support. We will seek to play our role.
