Attention Message

A FabLab is a place that is open to the public, stocked with equipment from 3D printers to laser cutters, from moulding and casting to electronics. The aim is to encourage people from all ages and backgrounds to have a go, and to learn how to build “almost anything”. We will be open to the public for general drop-in sessions, and we will be working with local partners to run a huge number of events, training sessions, and clubs.

Receptionist / Administrator

Be part of our front of house! Take bookings over the phone and internet, answer queries, welcome people to the FabLab, show them around, and take payment for machine use and materials. A positive and friendly attitude is first and foremost.

Marketing / Social Media

Implementing the Fab Lab’s brand awareness, generating inbound traffic whilst helping to advertise the activities responsible for ensuring Fab Lab Coventry gets good coverage in the online social medium, whilst being creative in generating new and innovative marketing ideas to appeal to people and help to develop relationships for engagement within communities. Are you great at page layout and website building? A social media wiz? Come and help us promote the FabLab via our website, social media accounts, and partner channels!

Gurus
We need lots of clever folk to help us run the FabLab. There are several stations: 3D scanning, 3D printing, laser cutter, CNC milling, electronics, programming, moulding/casting, and we hope eventually even bio-hacking. We need energetic, fun-loving engineering, computer science, hard science, and art & design students to be on hand to run Fab Learning Sessions, coach and mentor newbies, and to be on hand to lend a hand when people get stuck. Do you love your subject? Would you enjoy helping people learn how to do things they never through they could do? Join us!

Visit FabLab Coventry for more info about their activities.
