Changing the World by Transforming the University
The event will bring together leading organisers from the student and trade union movements past and present to discuss how our struggles on campus, in our workplaces and in our communities can change the world.
We’ll be joined by Zarah Sultana MP (Member of Parliament for Coventry South and former student organiser), Garfield Hilton (striking worker at Amazon Coventry warehouse), Hope Worsdale (former Warwick SU president and Warwick Free Education Activist, organiser with the World Transformed) and Fleur Martin (postgraduate organiser and Warwick UCU activist).
What is Warwick Student-Staff Solidarity?
We are a group of progressive staff and students on campus standing in solidarity with each other’s struggles to improve working and learning conditions; to challenge and abolish the neoliberal university and transform education into a liberatory project; to connect university struggles to wider community organising; and to build solidarity with liberation struggles globally.
