Pride(2014) film screening
Nominated for BAFTA & Golden Globe and winning the Cannes Queer Palm Award, the film features a group of lesbian and gay activists raising money to help families affected by the British Miners’ Strike in 1984. This film brought up key questions for trade unions: can we achieve LGBT+ liberation without fighting for our class interests? Can we achieve wins for workers if we leave some behind? What does solidarity look like?
